2 Days In A Row

Day 2:  Today was Speedwork.  Die.  The schedule called for 5 x 400 at 5K Pace.  In normal people terms, run 400 meters 5 times.  To figure out my goal pace, I use the McRun app.  You enter your last race time or if you know how fast you run a mile, and it will give you your workout pace for the 400 meters.  You get to walk/jog in between sets to catch your breath.  

Here are my times for each set:

1) -:-- (I took off too fast and forgot to check my watch.)
2) 1:45
3) 1:47
4) 1:43
5) 1:44

It was definitely not easy, but I got through it.  Glad I finished the last 2 sets a bit faster than the first 2!

PS A shirtless Troy Aikman definitely helps the motivation before you start.  And it's a nice reward to see him after!
