Leaping Into Madness

Sporadic Winey Runner has returned!
New Obsession:  Pure Barre.  Think ballet movements that kick your arse.  Who knew 2-3lb weights could be so heavy!   While I say new obsession, to be honest I have been going to Pure Barre classes pretty regularly for the past few months.  When I travel, it is relatively easy to find a nearby Pure Barre that I can catch a class.  Not the most economical, but it is much more motivating to attend a class when you pay for it versus skipping a run for a glass (or few) of vino.  Also, I have noticed some major strength benefits, primarily in my core, that have helped with running.

So... starting tomorrow morning, 6AM, I am starting the Pure Madness Challenge - 20 classes in 31 days.  This is going to be tough!  Luckily I'm not traveling much the month of March so I'll be able to give this a solid shot.  Thanks to the New Client Special at Pure Barre Uptown, I was able to purchase unlimited classes for the month.  Score!  I am still going to try to get a couple runs in every week, but no crazy distance training while I'm in this challenge.

To supplement all the hard work I'll be putting in at the barre, I'm going to focus on the following areas:
  1. Clean and healthy foods.  No crazy diet, just focus on the good stuff.  There are so many resources online, I'll be utilizing those and posting some to this blog and my Instagram.
  2. Watching my alcohol intake.  Definitely not eliminating it, just regulating how much I drink.  (Stupid empty calories.)
  3. Sleep.  Yeh, yeh, yeh.  I know I need more.  Going to work on that.
Vino Consumption: 0
Last Night's Sleep: Not enough
